What types of towels are there?


Not all towels are created equal. Depending on their intended use, we differentiate between guest towels, hand and face towels, shower and bath towels, and sauna towels. Sizes range from small 30x30 cm towels to XXL versions measuring over 100x200 cm. Each type has its own specific use: A guest towel is compact and hygienic for guests, while a large bath towel is ideal for wrapping yourself up after a shower. Which material is the best?


Most towels are made of cotton – and for good reason. Cotton is particularly absorbent, skin-friendly, and durable. High-quality varieties like Egyptian or Supima cotton offer even more softness and volume. Microfiber scores points with its quick-drying and lightweight properties – ideal for traveling or sports. Proper care – how to keep towels beautiful for a long time

Proper care is crucial to keeping your towels soft and hygienic for a long time. Wash them at 60 degrees Celsius, ideally with a color or heavy-duty detergent. Fabric softener may be tempting, but it's not a good idea—it reduces absorbency. Instead, you can occasionally add a little vinegar to the rinse cycle.
